dc.description.abstract | The topic gave me ample opportunities to apply the principles of planning in design. Spending time in different campuses made me understand the necessity of planning at institutional campus scale. I wanted to plan a campus catering to all the needs of the institute with minimum intervention to the surroundings. I have tried to retain the natural slope of site at every possible place. The campus area is 35 acres and the design will cater 1850 students. Being this area is itself a challenging factor to design a fully residential campus for staffs and students. The design will follow different trends for different buildings. It will give the campus a sense of unity, with diversity. The approach of my thesis is to give the campus, a GRIHA rating. The thesis topic basically shows how the design elements and spaces are combined with contemporary educational pedagogy to develop highly efficient future focused innovative learning environment. | en_US |
