The B-Schools are higher level educational institutions that impart education at various levels. Some of the major areas are finance, economics, marketing, accounting, administration, etc. and today the managers from theses institutes are spread all over the world playing a vital role in a major change in the nation’s economy. This can be seen in our country where the economy wa suffering after the independence and needed such managers to uplift the situation of the nation.. this is when the Indian Planning Commission took the initiative in 1959 and setup two business schools namely “Indian Institute of Management”. The first was made in Calcutta in 1961 and then in Ahmedabad in the same year. After these B-schools were established and functioning, there arose a problem of managing the ongoing developments in the country and then came up the idea of having the institutions that would manage these developments and hence “Institute of Rural Management” was established in Anand in 1979. But this only catered the rural areas and hence this new prototype has been established now the “Development Management Institute” which would cater for both, the urban as well as the rural areas.en_US
