We usually sleep in a comfortable bed and dream of travelling on a luxurious cruise with our family, enjoying every moment with the breezes of the ocean lifting the but there exists an entire community who breathe the sea breeze, work in a very hazardous environment and cannot even dream of having a normal life with a small house to live and some people to share their daily talks with. This is in a coastal village named ALANG in the state of GUJARAT. This area is very well known for the ship breaking activity that happens on a gigantic scale but also creating a lot of problems to the surrounding environment. This made several international and national organisations to consider this very seriously and some tried to propose sustainable solutions for a lot of issues to reduce the environmental impact and create healthy living standards for the working class of this industry. As a student of ARCHITECTURE finding the respective areas where there could be a sustainable architectural approach to solve some issues that can contribute to the improvement in the existing lifestyle of the working class of this industry.en_US
