Abstract: In India there is concept of natural markets and these types of markets generally located along the road, near by bus stand, railway station, and open ground and close to residential areas. Although these kinds of market generally come in formal category but the activity of selling of product and service providing come into category of informal activity. Contribution of informal sector is very important for the development of any area, zone, state or nation as this sector provides the opportunity to the unskilled persons to earn their livelihood and starting the entrepreneurship which leads to a formal sector. From the literature review study identified the common and the specific problem of the weekly vegetable market. And for the problems study identified the key indicator and for indicator it identified parameter. On the basis of identified indicator, questionnaire is prepared. For the primary survey location, total 3 weekly markets of Bhopal Municipal Corporation selected out of 14 markets and 1 weekly vegetable market of Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited selected out of 4 markets in Bhopal. The selection of the weekly markets is done on the basis of geographical & institution criteria of the markets.
