Abstract: This architectural thesis investigates the design of a mixed-use high-rise skyscraper situated in the vibrant neighbourhood of Mumbai Marine Lines. The project aims to create a dynamic urban landmark that seamlessly integrates three distinct functions: offices, residences, and a luxurious 5-star hotel. The design approach is centred around careful consideration of spacial arrangement, vertical zoning, circulation, and core arrangement to optimize functionality, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal. Special attention is given to the incorporation of green spaces throughout the building, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between nature and the urban environment. The thesis explores innovative strategies for vertical zoning, organizing the various functions within the building to enhance efficiency and user experience. The arrangement of office spaces, residential units, and hotel facilities is strategically planned to promote a sense of community, while providing privacy and exclusivity as required. Sustainability is a key aspect of the project, and the design incorporates cutting edge building automation systems and energy-efficient technologies to minimize environmental impact. The thesis investigates the integration of renewable energy sources and explores strategies for reducing energy consumption and waste production. The project emphasizes the creation of luxurious spaces by incorporating premium amenities, high-quality materials, and innovative interior designs. These elements are meticulously tailored to cater to the needs and aspirations of discerning occupants, ensuring a superior living, working, and hospitality experience. Through in-depth research, design exploration, and critical analysis, this thesis aims to present a comprehensive architectural solution that combines functionality, sustainability, and luxury in a high-rise skyscraper. By addressing the challenges and opportunities inherent in urban development, this project contributes to the discourse on innovative architectural design in dense urban environments, particularly in Mumbai Marine Lines.
