Abstract: The architectural thesis titled "Cultural Centre at Vasant Kunj: A Live Museum and Contemporary Arts Centre Proposed by Serendipity Arts Foundation" explores the design and concept of a dynamic cultural hub that aims to foster creativity, artistic expression, and cultural exchange. Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Vasant Kunj, the proposed center seeks to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary art forms while preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. The thesis delves into the vision of Serendipity Arts Foundation, which envisions a cultural center that goes beyond the conventional museum model. It aims to create a lively and interactive space that engages visitors and artists alike. The center acts as a platform for multidisciplinary artistic practices, hosting exhibitions, performances, workshops, and events that promote the exploration and appreciation of diverse art forms. The architectural design of the Cultural Centre at Vasant Kunj embraces a contemporary aesthetic while paying homage to the local architectural heritage. The structure features fluid and interconnected spaces that encourage movement, interaction, and exploration. The layout incorporates flexible exhibition areas, auditoriums, art studios, and outdoor spaces that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding landscape. Through the integration of cutting-edge technology and immersive installations, the proposed cultural center aims to redefine the traditional museum experience. Visitors are encouraged to actively participate, engage, and experience art in a dynamic and interactive manner. The center also fosters collaboration between local and international artists, providing a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue. The thesis presents an architectural proposal that embodies the vision of Serendipity Arts Foundation and the aspirations of the Cultural Centre at Vasant Kunj. It envisions a vibrant and inclusive space that celebrates artistic diversity, encourages creative exploration, and promotes cultural understanding, making it a significant addition to the cultural landscape of Vasant Kunj and the broader community.
