The aim for this thesis project is to design a cancer hospital at Chak Gajeria, Lucknow. As a large number of population of Uttar Pradesh is suffering from cancer disease and there is no such hospital, specialty in cancer treatment of such large scale, it has been very important to share the load of patients on other hospitals. Hospitals are considered to be the completely functional and services oriented in nature because the patient is already a stressful person and should not be given more stress by building of hospital. This stress of patients as well as doctors and of staff can be removed by resolving the circulation and functionality in planning a hospital. Functional relationship of various spaces in various departments has been described in this report. Site forces, wind and sun path and soil analysis is very important for successful building design and that has been done in detail in this report. The case studies which are done are at the two corners of India and are discussed about their designing, area programming and circulation in this thesis report. The relationship between user and built has been analyzed from the case studies and incorporated in the design.en_US
