This thesis presents a design proposal for a mental health facility dedicated to the care and treatment of children and adolescents up to the age of 18. With a growing awareness of mental health issues among younger populations, there is an urgent need for healthcare environments that are sensitive to the psychological and emotional needs of children. The study focuses on developing a built environment that provides safety, comfort, and a sense of familiarity while supporting the therapeutic process. Through a review of existing mental health facilities, child development research, and best practices in healthcare design, the project identifies spatial strategies that foster healing and reduce stress. The proposed facility is located in Dehu, Pune, on a 10-acre site situated in a semiurban area with relatively quiet surroundings. The site's natural contours, open green areas, and distance from dense urban activity make it well-suited for a mental health care setting. These conditions allow for the integration of therapeutic landscapes, outdoor activity zones, and transitional spaces that support recovery and emotional regulation. The final design integrates functional zoning, controlled access, sensory-friendly interiors, and flexible therapy spaces to cater to a range of mental health conditions. The aim is to create a facility that not only meets clinical requirements but also contributes positively to the overall well-being of its young users.en_US
