The present architectural thesis is an attempt at redefining the ways of designing public places in Indian context. Over the years, the character of public spaces in a city like Delhi has declined where the buildings are now based more on commercial values and higher returns. Public places in the city have reduced to just spill over spaces that linger in between the other functional aspects of the built. They are no longer designed for. The architectural design thesis is an approach towards rethinking how the public spaces in our cities should be experienced by the user. The proposal to design a mix-use development alongside a transit corridor majorly aims at creation of synergies between different uses and how these can be amalgamated to provide a wholesome userexperience. Designing a public place that will act at the crux of the commercial centre, placement of uses in harmony with each other providing for each one's needs, planning for pedestrian movement and connectivity through the entire site and responding to the impact of a major transit node alongside the site are the four major aspects addressed while designing the thesis project.en_US
