dc.description.abstractA study tour was conducted for MPUR II sem students for regional plan studio in Andra Pradesh Capital Region (APCR) from 5th feb to 14th feb 2017. The study area includes part of two districts Krihna and Guntur delineated as APCR. It comprises of 56 mandals including 63 villages, 2 municipal corporations and 12 ULBs. It is a huge region of more than 8000 sqmt. One day one expert lectures were delivered by 1) APCRDA officials and ARVEE consultants on overview of region and delineation criteria 2) Amaravati Capital Complex Development Authority on Development control rules and land pooling methods adopted for development of the Capital Complex. On day two the team visited SPA Vijayawada where they had discussions with master students. followed by talk and discussion on APCR with concerned faculty. Director SPA Vijayawada Prof. Meenakshi Jain also addressed the student gathering. Next three days were dedicated for data collection by students from various departments in Guntur, Machalipatanam and Vijayawada. Study region was visited on weekend which displayed varied character on both sides of the river spatially and economically. One the last day remaining data was collected from offices. The tour was successful in achieving the set targets. We reached Bhopal on 14th February 2017.en_US
