Abstract: MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT,GREATER NOIDA, this thesis project title deals with design of lifestyle district (Named as AIRWIL INTELLICITY) proposed to be built in Tech Zone 4, Greater Noida, which is in construction phase according to the master plan of Greater Noida - 2031. The scope of this thesis project only concerns design of Office & Retail blocks of all the requirements in the proposed project. The thesis involves complete architectural designing of the site from the site planning stage to final design including preparation of detailed working plans, sections, elevations, 3d renderings of the expected result and a comprehensive report on the complete thesis. The thesis follows a strict methodology based on widely accepted and commonly used design theories and methodologies. Such methods are mainly basically derived from a logical application of the problem. Extensive and exhaustive case studies are generally conducted afore hand to ascertain present and existing examples of such type of buildings so that all positive attributes can be included in the design thought process. The next logical step involves studying of the proposed site with respect to all attributes namely site topography, climatological factors, demographics of the place and other pertaining issues. Mixed-use development is—in a broad sense—any urban, suburban or village development, or even a single building, that blends a combination of residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, or industrial uses, where those functions are physically and functionally integrated, and that provides pedestrian connections. In my project a combination of commercial and residential has been created which compliments each other in every sense. The users that have been targeted in this design are the people who would be working in the commercial zone of this sector which will provide them with a habitable space in a close proximity to their offices. The main agenda of this design is to re-imagine their life by creating a stress free environment away from the stressful urban lifestyle for them by providing all the necessary facilities in one region in their close proximity, where they do not need to travel for their day to day requirements by creating their residential zone, commercial zone and day to day needs shop.
