Abstract: The project Central Forensic Science Laboratory brings forward the promise of strengthening the criminal justice system by looking forward to qualitative forensic research in India. Being located at Bhopal, it offers the fair opportunity of being established as a robust connection to integrate the network of forensic services across the country. The facility is designed to provide research infrastructure for various disciplines of science taking into consideration the primary factor of invulnerability from any kind of intrusion or interference. The architectural consensus emphasizes on providing the laboratory and specialized spaces considering the guidelines as specified. The site and the idea shape the design in the direction of minimum interdependency, hence enhancing the quality and offering better reliability with the authenticity of the work that the built form is supposed to function for. Alongside, the volume and essence of space is calibrated such that it respects the presence of the honourable personnel working here and presenting the building as an example of decorum and justice.
