New network culture has challenged the conventional idea of time and space, it has given new dimensions to cities. Space and distances are shrinking and local is connecting with global, altering cultures and transforming cities. Internet dynamics of virtual entities are infused into physical things creating new value, new social connections as a way of collaborations (Dan Hill, 2016). This brings new meaning to social spaces, where thoughts and space are shared creating a sense of community which is the genesis of Network urbanism. Thus there is a new way of looking towards cities with the more people-centric approach. This thought is giving birth to the city transformations with new functions and relationships. The thesis explores this concern of how this internet age is transforming these new city functions and its relationships. Following through various reviews of literature on network society, new trends and a new community of knowledge and creative industry and their lifestyle in finding out the dynamics and complexities of further approach. Supporting with local and global case studies where cities are affected by such transformations and also where design strategies are implemented for new development based on network urbanism. Further proposing a feasible site based on findings of literature and case studies while proceeding with first hand site observations and spatial analysis of physical networks, place character, new emerging places and functional uses of different built typologies in finding out issues and potentials and lastly the thesis aims to negotiate and envision development on the basis of findings and exploration while proposing new approach of transformational development of people-centric in the area where creative collaborations takes place in public realm of new era.en_US
