Abstract: Natural history museums can be a effective tool to aware people about the events in the past, present and what could happen in the future regarding the natural world, with its exhibits, narratives and spaces in it. Museum of natural history is not a comprehensive study or survey of human history focused on civilizations, nations, people’s life and major events. These kinds of domains are covered by many museums. This one focuses on the evolution and revolution or transformations in human history and the relation between human history and natural history with emphasis on today’s interrelation of human and nature. The national museum of natural history was proposed near the Purana Qila region of New Delhi, India. An attempt has been made to provide the most suitable design required for the project. Care has been taken to make the best use of naturally occurring parameters to make them complement the design. Live case studies and literature case studies have been done to study how museums come to be what they are today, what factors make them interesting and what draws people to them. Study has been done regarding concepts of form development, transition spaces, circulation patterns of visitors and spaces of multi use.
